この色の輪を見ていくつの配色の組み合わせがあるか考えてみて…無限～～～～
Today, I had a chance to step out of my comfort and enter the world of endless possibilities when it comes to graphic designing. Before, I kind of think beforehand and try follow a concrete vision. while approaching any task in my life in order to finish things in the shortest amount of time. This process is timely and efficient but costs me missing out all the fun during the process and possibly better solutions for things as well.
今日、自分が安全だと感じる領域を踏み出して、グラフィックデザインの終わりなき可能性の世界に踏み出した。それまでは、どんなタスクでも最短の時間で終わらせるために、先に明確なビジョンがありそれに沿ってきました。この方法は時間的には効率的ですが、他の可能性やより良い解決策を見出す楽しみを逃すという代償があります。
But today, I stepped out of that comfort zone (together with the help of Satoko-san) to work on and “play around” the different elements in designing a visual for our current promotional task. I came into tackling this task with certain vision including planned draft and specific style. Yet, too many times, I have changed things around and gone with the flow~ I’m pretty proud of myself because I have opened my mind and been more flexible.
しかし、今日、そんな自分にとっての安全域を（サトコさんに手伝ってもらいながら）踏み出して、今手掛けているプロジェクトの画像制作で、様々な要素を「ものは試しでやってみる」ことを経験しました。このタスクに取り組み始めた時、計画した下案と特定のスタイルなどの明確なビジョンがあった。それでも、何度も、流れに任せて色々変えてみた。視野を開いてより柔軟になれたことをとても誇りに思う。
Not just me being flexile with things, I also actively tried out many new possibilities while designing the post’s visual. (This part may sound too technical) From trying out different fonts, different colors, different level of transparency, to shifting the positions of the text (entirely out of my personal style), I have been able to tried them all during today’s creation process.
柔軟に対応できることだけじゃなくて、投稿用の画像のデザインをしている間、自主的に色々試してみた。（ここからはちょっと専門的すぎるかもしれないけれど）違うフォントを試してみたり、違う色、違う透明度、文字の位置を変えてみたり（これは完全に私のスタイルからはみ出している）、そんな全ての事を今日一日の制作過程で試すことができた。
This internship has been continuously surprising me from its starting day and hopefully till the very end…
このインターンシップには初日から驚かされている、そして、最終日までそうあってほしい…

I am very glad that Linh-san took today’s experience positively. Some people get offended by being asked trying things. Linh-san had created a few different patterns of the visual before we went working together. I honestly like the direction she was taking. Thanks to the base she created, I think we could try other things as well. It was just matter of making every elements to do their job better. Theories exist because it is effective. But when multiple elements are placed on a plate, we need to use multiple theories so that each elements won’t disturb each other. And it was joyful working with her, because I have a feeling she noticed that I am not asking her to try something randomly but with certain reasons and theories. The most part of our job is like what Sherlock Holmes says “When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?”. Instead of chasing what it should be, it is more of eliminating “what we should NOT do”.
今日一緒に試したことをリンさんが前向きにとらえてくれていて、ホッとしています。人によっては新しいことを試してみてと言われることを嫌うからです。一緒に作業をする前にリンさんはすでに何パターンかの画像を作っていました。その方向性を素直に良いと感じていました。彼女の作ったベースが良かったので、今回様々なことを試せたと感じています。それぞれの要素がやるべき仕事をより良くこなせるようにするには、どうすべきかという事だけでした。セオリーは効果的だから存在します。しかし、複数の要素が一つの皿に置かれたとき、複数のセオリーを用いて、それぞれの要素がお互いを邪魔しないようにしないといけません。そして、リンさんと作業をするのはとっても楽しかった。なぜかというと、たぶん、彼女は私がなぜそれを試してと言うか理解していたと思うから。ランダムに適当に言っているのではなく、そこには理由があると。私たちの作業のほとんどは、名探偵シャーロック・ホームズが言っているようなことに似ています「すべての不可能を排除して、残ったものがどんなにありえそうでなくても、それが真実に違いない」。どうあるべきかを追うよりも、「何をしてはいけないか」を排除する作業。
