KANRO(寒露) is the 17th season of “the 24seasons”. The night gets longer. The air gets colder in the morning and at night. The climate is no longer humid nor too hot. You can feel “the Autumn” both day and night. We’ll introduce one seasonal event that takes place in many places in Japan.

菊花展　(/kikka-ten/)

If you like flowers and arriving this season, ask a concierge of your hotel if there are any KIKKA-TEN going on.

“KIKKA-TEN(菊花展)” is the exhibition of Chrysanthemums.
The center of these exhibitions is the type of Chrysanthemums which get a big flower. A lot of them get bigger than your both hands.

Some of the exhibitions are free to enter. Many of them take place somewhere like the field of castles and parks. It is one of the sceneries to feel Autumn for us.

Chrysanthemums have uncountable numbers of varieties. Apparently, our head curator’s favorite Chrysanthemum is “Pom pom mums”. What variety of them do you like the best?
